Bringing in a New Year of Joy, Peace and Love!

What an exciting time to be alive. We are present when the new is happening every day. We are alive during this tremendous time of transformation. We are awakening or we have finally awakened to the Divine Truth that we create our own world of experiences.

We choose what we want to experience. Choice is freedom and thoughts of freedom lead us into the unlimited. Divine Source is Unlimited Possibilities and Explosive Abundance.

Should we choose, we can acknowledge that life is full of infinite Abundance and Prosperity. We can express gratitude for the Abundance that is ever present in our lives. Life is rich with experiences that elevate us out of that which restricts or limits us.

Just a few short years ago, I teetered on the edge of restrictive thoughts. If I had accepted the traditional path scripted for me, I would not be traveling and writing. I would be waiting for retirement and feeling I had no choices.

Bound by traditions and a false sense of security...

I chose to take the Leap and follow my Dreams. Yes, it did get quite scary at times. I chose to rename that sensation. I chose to call that breathless jittery feeling of uncertainty, Joyful Anticipation.

And here we are. I am ablaze with Joyful Anticipation. This is an exciting New Year full of new experiences. What Joy! Joy Bringers is launched.

This promises to be a year of expansion and enlightenment.

I feel alive with wonder! Join me.

Easy Joy

Most of us acknowledge with deep appreciation that this is a very special time of the year. This is a time when we are gifted with the opportunities of recharging that which spiritually inspires us, counting our Blessings and being grateful for the Life Gifts that come our way. These Gifts of Life help make us clearer and brighter.

It is important for us to go into our own Spiritual Closets for quiet meditative time. A few moments stepping away from what you think you "should" be doing will help you connect to a more Divine Flow of activities. Divine Flow is freer, happier and easier.

Easy is the key. Focus on how easy things flow in and out of your life. This easy Divine Flow brings you exactly what you need and desire at the perfect time.

Divine Flow also takes away and dissipates what no longer serves your Highest Good in this present moment.

As you move through this time, remember... Easy...

Peace and Joy,

3 Simple and Highly Effective Tips for Parents of Children Experiencing Cancer

Your child has just been diagnosed with cancer and your world has tilted off of its axis. Before you go to the internet or even call your best friend, here are some simple things you can do to make this the best healing experience for everyone.

Tip 1. Breathe. Your child has been diagnosed with a life-altering health condition. It is extremely important that you breathe. Take 3 deep breaths in and breathe them out slowly. Connecting to your breath will help you feel grounded and ready to move forward with clarity. Deep breaths help us to find our center, a well of calm and peace. You want to be centered in calm and peace before you make any important decisions.

Tip 2. Connect with your child. Hold him and just feel the presence of his warm body. Recognize that there is no blame in this. Your child is not his health condition. See him whole, healthy and happy. See him well. Remember to keep the loving connection strong and vibrant between you. Match your breath with your child. Listen to your heartbeats. You are one. Practice family hugs. Be kind to yourself and take time to acknowledge each emotion as it reveals itself. All of our emotions are important. Respect and honor each one. If you need help with the emotional ride, seek assistance from a professional.

Tip 3. Touch your child with loving intention. Gentle loving touch is very important now. Soothing comforting touch helps you stay bonded to her. It also replaces invasive medical touch with nurturing healing touch. If your child is a baby, learn some infant massage strokes. These strokes calm and reassure both you and your baby. You can also help her feel better by using color therapy. This easy technique is being used effectively in a growing number of cancer hospitals worldwide. Color Therapy helps to reduce or eliminate pain levels.

Joy Bringers--Celebrate the Joy in Each Moment! has a beautiful section dedicated to healing with color that you can use. Let her choose her favorite color from the book. Ask her to close her eyes and take 5 deep breaths. Now have her imagine that her color is flowing through her whole body. The deep breathing and color with distract her and take her to a place of peace and beauty.

Practice these simple and effective tips daily and you will feel relaxed, grounded and more joyously connected to your child as she moves through her healing journey.

Joy Bringers: Spiritually Ground Yourself!

Here we are in the midst of dramatic happenings all over our world. We may feel adrift, confused by the intensity of the changes. These changes seem out-of-control. Or at least, they seem out of our control.

Now is the time to take that deep breath. This is the perfect time to ground ourselves in Spiritual Truth. To do this, we must find time to go within and acknowledge that our connection with Divine Peace is still there and will always be there.

Joy Bringers inspires us with these words:

"It takes a little practice to remove yourself from distractions, yet you owe it to yourself. We each have a symphony inside of us. Perhaps years of busyness have muffled your hearing. Or maybe you distract yourself because you are afraid of what you might hear in your stillness. It takes courage to open yourself up to the spiritual well within, to quiet the inner talk and the outer distractions. But it is worth the spiritual work."

God has the perfect symphony waiting for you.

Tomatoes, Potatoes and A Brazilian Butterfly

Life is full of unexpected moments of Joy! Let me share something remarkable that happened to me a week ago..

I was in the grocery store (supermercado) selecting my vegetables. While we were sorting through the tomatoes, a beautiful woman standing next to me commented on how pitiful the tomatoes were this week. I laughed and agreed. I laughed because I could understand her Portuguese and what she said was funny and true.

As I turned to select my potatoes, still chuckling to myself, I caught the beautiful eyes of an older lady standing near the apples. "A Brazilian Butterfly," (A Borboleta) I thought. I smiled and said, "Good Morning." (Bom Dia) She hurried up to me, grabbed my hand and with twinkling eyes said to me, "Oh what a beautiful smile you have! Joy (Alegria)! Joy (Alegria)!"

She was a timeless, ageless soul.... Standing no more than 4 feet tall. Her long white hair was pulled back into an elegant bun; her eyes were a sparkling light grey. Sun-kissed skin smooth, free of lines and wrinkles. This butterfly was radiating Joy.

Fluttering with happiness...

Still holding my hand, laughing, she shared a beautiful story with me. It seems that a few weeks ago she saw two friends, separated for far too long, meet each other again in the Vila. She watched them hug and kiss, laugh together, then hug and kiss again. She was excited by witnessing so much happiness, seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter. She spoke of how she could still feel their Joy inside her, even to this day. What Joy! What Happiness!

I squeezed her hand warmly while I thanked her for the Blessing she brought me that morning. We left each other to go out into the world bringing Joy, bringing Light!

I am still smiling because I know she is still smiling too.

Tomatoes, Potatoes, A Brazilian Butterfly...

When was the last time you Blessed our world with your beautiful smile?
